When you find an amazing lake house, you find the perfect family vacation destination for years to come. Renting your lake house out to others when you aren’t there is a great way to share the magic.
While there are plenty of services out there to help you rent your space, they all take a healthy fee from your renter income to make it happen. The smart move is to become your own rental company, which is exactly what this project was all about.
The owners of Seneca Lakehouse have been building a kick-ass retreat for their family for years. They started to rent it out to friends and knew they were on to something. Now with a taste for the rental game, they needed a means to rent to people directly, provide people with visuals of the space, book reservations and collect rental fees.
That’s where Driftpoint Media moved in.
After defining the overall brand, designing a logo, and hosting an onsite photoshoot, Driftpoint Media went to work designing and developing a new website that would address these needs. Security and accessibility were especially important as they needed a functional reservation/booking system that would allow them to take reservations, deposits and final payments, as well as send out email communications to their renters. Within weeks of launching the website, the Seneca Lakehouse was fully booked for the summer and fall months, proof that the website project was a success.
