One of our favorite projects every year is when we run the publicity campaign for the Rochester area race team on One Lap of America. This year the team is racing to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and we wanted to raise the bar a little on their online presence. There were some challenges in the past loading the website quickly and there was a need to add some promotions leading up to the event.

Earlier in March we gave the website an overhaul. We changed them over from their shared hosting service onto our services with Amazon Web Services. It decreased site load times by more than 3 times, making the site load quicker for visitors. Even though they are on a basic tier of Amazon hosting capacity, having them isolated will allow us to benchmark exactly how much traffic demand they have in May. That will allow us to scale it dynamically in years to come. Go to the Rochester DSM One Lap of America website and be sure to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project while you are there.

We replaced their website theme with a modern one that would rescale for mobile devices. They have a large trend of mobile access and having a Responsive theme it will enable people to utilize tablets and smartphones easier.

We developed the posters they will be using to help promote the event in April around the area. The posters will help them connect their existing online campaign with a physical campaign that will help connect local venues into the event.
