It has always been a race to drive engagement between customers and your brand on social media. Live streaming and ephemeral content becomes more and more popular as the way people consume content changes. The race isn’t over yet! Dominate social media by improving the way your customers see your company.
Take advantage of the ever-changing habits of the social media user experience to reach your goals!
Here are Driftpoint Media’s 5 tips on how to drive your social media engagement:
01 Create appealing visuals.
People say, “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover,” but that is exactly what today’s consuming trends have become. It takes on average 5-30 seconds for a consumer to move on to the next thing on their screen. Create posts with exciting visuals, some nice colors and if you choose to make GIFs or videos, a catchy track.
02 Call your customer to action.
You’ve caught the attention of your customer with those awesome visuals, now what? In order to drive people to comment, follow/subscribe or bring them to your website, you need to lead them there! Make sure your call-to-action, whether it’s on the post or in your caption, is clear and easy to find. Use words like “More” or “Shop” to keep it simple and accessible.
03 Inform and connect.
When we work on a project at Driftpoint Media, we want to make sure that the mission statement of the client comes through. Inform your customers on your intentions and why this relates back to your company. The aim is to build a connection between you and your customers. Doing this creates interest and company/brand loyalty to keep them coming back.
04 Use #hashtags.
A hashtag connects consumers with their interests. It has become one of the most used pay-per-click methods of advertising. Incorporate a few hashtags within and/or at the end of your posts to send your post to the topic pool, to bring more consumers on their way to like your posts.
05 Measure effectivity.
Awesome! Your post is getting likes and traffic on your website is increasing. Don’t forget to measure your growth and keep tabs on what kinds of posts are working and, most importantly, what isn’t working.
